Speaker Bios:

Beverly has been a licensed attorney in Texas since 1994. She considers herself a “legacy lawyer,” and she opened her own boutique law firm in New Braunfels, Texas, where she approaches estate planning in a heart-centered, holistic way. She was voted one of New Braunfels’ top three Best Attorneys by a Herald-Zeitung Readers’ Choice poll in 2018. She is also Mom to three wonderful grown men, a world traveler, and an international best-selling author of the book Happy Lawyer: The Art of Having It All Without Losing Your Mind.

Valerie is an award winning author and has recently published, “Put Up Your Umbrella - Finding Shelter In the Storm of Cancer.” She is also a graphic designer specializing in legacy books and funeral programs, a career that began in 2008 when she designed the funeral program for her 27-year-old daughter who died of adrenal cancer. In the last decade she has prepared legacy programs for the full spectrum of humanity. She knows first hand that death is a leveling ground, and regardless of color or economics, most come to her desk unprepared for the 160 Decisions that are made within 48 hours after the death of a loved one.
