Placer County, CA Lunch Connect Meeting In Person Sept 19 (3rd Friday 11:30-1:30 PDT)

Our Monthly Lunch & Business Connection Meetings: 3rd Friday, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm.

Arrive by 11:15 to connect with members, grab a name tag, seat and place your lunch order.

LOCATION: The Monk's Cellar, downtown Roseville, located at 240 Vernon St. There is some street parking but also a large parking garage behind some buildings right across the street from this restaurant. No fee to attend as a member or guest (one time only), but please support our venue by buying your own lunch and drink (there are various options on our private menu for $20++). Sometimes it's a bit chilly, wear layers.

We provide a table for marketing materials, guests and members are welcome to bring one item to place on the table plus business cards to showcase your offerings and business.

Please attempt to always be on time and try not to leave early if possible or you might miss part of our meeting/agenda and connection opportunities. We are excited to get to know you! If you register but can no longer attend, please let Katrina know so we can cancel your registration as there are limited seats at our meetings and we want to open it up for others.

Our Meeting Agenda:

Introductions (depends on how many in the room, but we will usually have 60 seconds each) – Everyone will share who you are, what you do for business/work in one sentence, why you’re here or how long you’ve been a member if you’re a member. There is time for sharing more about what you sell/offer later in the agenda. If you do not have a business, share what you're passionate about.

Celebrations – Everyone shares something they're celebrating, personal or professional. Welcome guests, and New & Renewing Members receiving their pins.

Inspire Award – To keep the celebrations going, we award our Inspire Award to a different DOT sister each month!

Collaborations and Connects – We ask members to share your recent DOT sister collaborations or connects you have had both locally & globally. Share what about the other person you loved, how the connect supported you, etc.

Speaker (20 min, Topics vary each month)

New Events, Products, Services &/or Passions or Asks - What New Events/Products/Services/Passions do you have going on in your business, or life? You can share briefly things you’re excited about, plus you can make offers, or share invitations to events, etc. (Please try to keep to 1-2 min max) But no passing of materials during the meeting. If people are interested, they will approach you afterwards and/or ask to do a “Connect” with you. You may however put any flyers, cards, etc. on the “marketing table”. If you don’t have a business, share what you’re passionate about, some hobbies and other fun details about yourself! *If you have an ASK, something you need, this is the place to also ask here.

Connect Slip Drawing - We fill in and collect 1:1 connect slips during the meetings every month so you can listen and choose who you’d like to set up a call or coffee with to get to know better. Winners can meet in person with coffee on us as a gift.

September Speaker: Jackie Cote

Topic: Adversity is the Best Growth Plan Ever, Even if You Don't Think So at the Moment

The number one conversation floating around about 2024 was how challenging it has been for many and for many different reasons. My own journey this past year has been filled with adversity at every turn and hard as it was I wouldn't change anything about it and super grateful for it all. I will be sharing the three biggest life events and the lessons I learned from each one of them as I went through them and how I was able to heal childhood wounds that I never realized had until these experiences. You will walk away with ways to have peace amongst the chaos of life so you can experience a life you love no matter what.
