Attendees Can Expect to Learn: Understand what board-certified music therapy is and isn’t.

  1. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the clinical scope of music therapy, how it differs from general or recreational music activities, and when a referral to a board-certified music therapist is appropriate.
  2. Recognize how music affects the brain and nervous system.
  3. Learn the science behind how rhythm, melody, and harmony influence regulation, emotional processing, and resilience — and why music can quickly shift stress into calm and connection.
