Speaker: April Howard
Description: April will invite Dots to take a deeper look at who their ideal customer really is—because knowing who your event is for is the essential first step in planning. From there, Dots will learn how to identify and find their ideal customers, and how to use that insight to build strategic partnerships with businesses that align. April will then share a simple, repeatable framework for planning events that consistently attract a steady stream of ideal customers.

Speaker Bio: Ever since a child, April Howard has innately thrived on event coordination, themes, memorable details and making the celebration enjoyable. Baby showers, weddings, birthdays of all themes, bachelorette parties, scavenger hunts, wine pairings, spa experience, family reunions, anniversaries, and more. When it came to her jobs, she worked in many event industry roles: banquets, wedding design, catering, mobile espresso bar and venue sales. So when it came to her career roles, it was natural for April to incorporate events as a lead magnet. April was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Garden Plaza of Post Falls for 4 years. With 238 apartments, it is quite the large role for April and her team to sell all of the rooms. It was vital to have a steady flow of new faces in Garden Plaza to bring awareness to the community. How was this accomplished? Events...a LOT of events.
