About the presenters:

Beverly has been a licensed attorney in Texas since 1994. She considers herself a Legacy Lawyer and she opened her own boutique law firm in New Braunfels, Texas, where she approaches estate planning in a heart-centered, holistic way. She was voted one of New Braunfels’ top three Best Attorneys by a Herald-Zeitung Readers’ Choice poll in 2018. She is also Mom to three wonderful grown men, a world traveler, and an international best-selling author of the book Happy Lawyer: The Art of Having It All Without Losing Your Mind.

Valerie won the Cure Today Extraordinary Healer International Essay Contestt in 2010 for an essay called “Beginning to End,” which she wrote about her daughter’s chemo nurse. She has also received the award for excellence in blogging on BeingCancer.net. Her first book, Put Up Your Umbrella - Finding Shelter In the Storm of Cancer” is now available on Amazon.com. Valerie is also a graphic designer specializing in legacy books and funeral programs, a career that began in 2008 when she designed the funeral program for her 27-year-old daughter who died of adrenal cancer. In the last decade she has prepared legacy programs for the full spectrum of humanity. She knows first-hand that death is a leveling ground, and regardless of color or economics, most come to her desk unprepared for the 160 Decisions™ that are made within 48 hours after the death of a loved one.
