May 2026 In-Person Connect Meeting - Reno/Sparks Chapter

Join us for positive connection and celebration at our May in-person meeting.  Polka Dot Powerhouse is an all-inclusive women's connection company that focuses on getting to know YOU as a whole person.  Whether you're an entrepreneur, business professional, stay-at-home mom or retiree, we would love to meet you!

We will be welcoming Marla Morris with Austin's House as our guest speaker.  As a proud native Nevadan and a resident of Douglas County, Marla is a dedicated leader whose career has been devoted to protecting and advocating for children across Nevada.  She brings more than 25 years of experience with the Division of Child and Family Services, where she advanced from Social Worker to Social Services Chief.  I n her leadership roles, she oversaw child protective services, foster care licensing, and adoptions, and later administered critical statewide programs, including the Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry and the Nevada Adoption Reunion Registry.  After retiring from state service, she continued her life’s work as Executive Director of Austin’s House. For the past eight years, she has led the organization in providing safety, stability, and compassionate care for children in crisis.
