Hi there! We are so excited you are here! That's how you will feel when you attend a Polka Dot Powerhouse meeting! Excited! I remember my first meeting and how different it was from so many other networking groups...It felt like home.
I love the beginning of the PDP mission statement.... We connect the world's most positive, action-forward amazing women. That sounds so great doesn't it? Well, it is! But there is so much more!
The women at PDP are uplifters and support each other to grow every day. This is a safe place where you can grow your business and collaborate with other businesswomen. But you don't have to have a business. We have lots of Dot Sisters that are just looking for the friendship and support aspect of the group. It's about connecting first...and the business comes naturally. There's no competition or drama here (we are the home of the No Drama Llama)! When you are part of the Dot sisterhood, you are greeted with an enthusiastic smile, a hug, and the feeling that you belong! It's a great place to be.
WHAT TO KNOW IN ADVANCE OF ATTENDING A MEETING:
Arrival: Bring your smiling face. We’ll make sure you feel comfortable when you arrive!
Time: Arrive 15 min. early to socialize AND get a good seat! Plan on 2 hours for the meeting.
Dress: Business Casual
Dinner: Plan on purchasing your Dinner (this is how we pay for the room/location).
Handouts: We prefer to keep business handouts off the tables where we sit, but you are welcome to share business cards, literature, non-food items etc. on our Polka Dot share table.
Business Cards: Bring plenty of business cards, meetings can fill up to 30 members and guests!
Introductions: Each person has 30-60 seconds to share about themselves and/or their business during our introductions (there will be a cheat sheet!).
Polka Dot Powerhouse is different than other networking groups. Women join for an assortment of reasons or seasons in their life. Some come for personal relationships, and some for business. We have lots of overlapping and same company members. We are all about collaboration above competition. This is not your run-of-the-mill business networking group.
Build relationships first! We believe in building connections and relationships first. This way, those looking to do business together will do so organically and naturally because people tend to do business with people they know, like, and trust.
Cancellations: Our meetings are usually registered for a full house with a waiting list. If for any reason you are not able to attend, we ask that you let me know as soon as possible so that we may be able to allow someone from the waitlist to attend.
