Join the MetroWest Chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse as we welcome Martha Bernard Welsh, longtime Board Member and past Board President of Dress for Success Worcester, for a conversation about the powerful connection between what we wear, how we feel, and the confidence to take that next step.

Dress for Success Worcester serves women throughout 82 cities and towns in Worcester and Middlesex Counties, providing much more than professional clothing. Women receive interview and résumé support, professional attire, a wardrobe to help them begin their new job, and access to an ongoing network designed to help them succeed.

Martha will share:

• Why confidence can be one of the biggest barriers for women seeking meaningful employment
• What Dress for Success Worcester does — and why they’re surprisingly picky about donations
• Real stories that demonstrate how seemingly small acts can make an enormous difference
• How to think about a donation from the recipient’s point of view
• Ways individuals and groups can support women as they build their next chapter

This conversation is especially fitting for our Dot community: women supporting women, building confidence, and recognizing that sometimes something small to us can mean everything to someone else.

Martha Bernard Welsh is a past Board President and longtime Board Member of Dress for Success Worcester. Now retired from business, Martha remains an active volunteer and community leader. She serves as President of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Leadership MetroWest.
