3 Tips to Help You Reach Your Fitness Goals

So most of us have heard that it’s recommended that we get 30 minutes of moderate activity 5 times per week or 20 minutes of vigorous activity 3 times per week to be heart healthy.

How many of you frowned at that or let out an exasperated sigh? It’s ok, be honest.

It can be challenging in today’s go go go society to get the exercise our body needs to be healthy but here’s something that should help you feel better-You don’t have to put aside a whole hour or go to the gym each time to get your fitness in.

Let’s take a look at 3 tips to help you get your fitness in and spoiler alert- it WON’T take you an hour to do it!

Tip #1

Plan ahead-Look at your schedule for the week and the pockets of time you can devote to dedicated movement to get your heart rate up.

5-10 minutes a few times a day is all you need. Decide if you are going to do cardio, strength or both. Have the video ready or the exercises you want to perform all ready to go.

This will help it flow seamlessly into your schedule so it doesn’t feel like “work”.

Tip #2

Schedule it-Just like any other appointment your fitness should be on your calendar. Know what days and times you will fit it in.

Success is planned it doesn’t just happen.

Tip #3

Be open to change-If something comes up don’t let it derail you. Roll with it and look for alternative ways to get your movement in that day. Maybe it’s biking to work, taking the stairs a few times or parking further away from your work or store entrance.

If you’re stuck in the office you can get your exercise in. All you need is an office chair and you can get a full body workout done in 10-15 minutes. Have more time- you can repeat the circuit a few more times to get to 30 minutes.

Maybe you get up 10-15 minutes early and do a round of jumping jacks, mountain climbers, squats and pushups.

Are you ready to uplevel your fitness and take your SHE back (strength, health, empowerment)?

All it takes is 3 steps to get you creating a habit that turns into a lifestyle. If you’re up for the challenge and ready to commit then get ready to see the results come flowing in!

Cheering you on for a lifestyle of health and vitality.
