We are pleased to introduce, Shannon Funt, Founder of May you be Mindful

May You Be Jolly - An interactive workshop on finding joy, during the most wonderful time of year

Description: In this hands-on lecture, we'll learn and practice 3 mindfulness exercises that can be used over the holiday season to help us cope with never-ending to-do lists, visits from (crazy) relatives, and the general chaos that tends to fill the air (along with the smell of chestnuts roasting :)). By bringing our minds and hearts into the present moment, we'll reconnect with what really matters, and regain a sense of inner peace and joy, no matter how frightful the weather gets outside.

BIO:

Shannon Funt is the Founder of May You Be Mindful, which offers workshops and coaching to organizations, schools, and parents, seeking to “check-in” and reconnect with themselves, their families, and their respective communities. MYBM relies on the secular and compassionate practice of mindfulness to guide participants in learning how to hit “pause”, breathe, and reengage with the present moment, so they may regain focus, clarity, inner peace, and happiness.

Shannon began her own mindfulness journey in 2013, when she felt called to uncover her life’s purpose (outside of being a new mom J). She signed up for an Intro course at mindfulschools.org (which she highly recommends!), and has continued to receive formal teacher training through Mindful Schools since. Shannon also credits a good deal of informal training to the books and podcasts of teachers including Eckart Tolle, Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg, and Thich Nhat Hanh.

In 2016, after spending nearly 20yrs in the private sector as a finance & business analyst, Shannon turned her growing passion for practicing & teaching mindfulness into her life's work with the creation of May You Be Mindful. She is so excited to be on this journey with you!
