Our goal at Polka Dot Powerhouse is to connect the worlds most positive, drama-free, action-forward women to do business together, collaborate, and foster friendships.  This is not your normal networking group, PDP is all about making genuine connections with women that lift you up and want you to succeed.

Our speaker, Elizabeth Schmid an ongoing supervisor from Mahoning County Children Services.  Liz graduated form YSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2005.  She began her career with Summit County Children Services (SCCS) where she remained for the next 10 years and received her Master's in social work while at SCCS.  Currently, she is the MCCS liaison for a parent support group called Succeed in which parents who have been successful in the child welfare system, offer support and guidance to parents who are currently involved in the child welfare system.  She is also a mental health therapist in the Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) of Akron Children's Hospital, Beeghly Campus.

Liz is married to Roger and they have 3 children and live in Poland.

Seats are limited and you must register to attend.  The meeting is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Stonebridge Grille.  Come early to mingle and choose your lunch from a limited menu at your cost.'

Guests are welcome to attend one meeting before becoming a member.
